This LC8 Swivel Stool was co-designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret & Charlotte Perriand, 1928-1929, for a dinning room interior. The first systematized tubular steel designs by Le Corbusier’s studio appeared in 1928 and were described as “équipement de l’habitation” – “house equipment” – for their machine-liked style and form. The Stool was first presented in 1929 at an exhibition at the Salon d’Automne in Paris, France.
